The measles outbreak has brought the importance of vaccinations into the spotlight. It’s just as important to vaccinate your beloved pet.
Some vaccinations are considered vital to all dogs based on the risk of exposure, the severity of the disease and the transmissibility to humans. According to the ASPCA, these “core” vaccines are: canine parvovirus, distemper, canine hepatitis and rabies.
In Maricopa County, all dogs three months of age and older are required to have a rabies vaccination.
If cost is a concern, take your dog or cat to the Anthem Pets Low-cost Vaccination Clinic this Saturday at Claws ’N’ Paws. Vaccines will be administered by Academy West Animal Hospital at a greatly reduced rate.
