Shopping at Norterra might leave you with a different kind of package to take home. The newest storefront near Claire’s boutique isn’t selling accessories or shoes. It features doggies and kitties, and they’re not for sale; they are up for adoption.
Petique is the result of the collaboration between the Arizona Humane Society and RED Development. This second retail and adoption location also offers fashionable accessories for your newly adopted or existing furry family member. (The first location opened at Biltmore Fashion Park in 2009.)
Since AHS is a non-profit organization, purchases at Petique are tax-free and proceeds from sales fund services for all of AHS’ homeless animals.
The new Norterra site is expected to help AHS adopt out an additional 1,000 pets each year.
